Why can't I open hyperlinks in Outlook emails for about the last month? Why can't I try The New Outlook?

For about the past month, every time I left click a hyperlink in an Outlook email, a window pops up stating " Unable to open. " I can still right click and copy and paste the link in Edge, but that's more work. I've tried using The New Outlook option in the upper-right field of the Outlook page, but nothing seems to happen. And I don't know if this is related, but I also have been unable to open the Microsoft News & Interest page from the feed on the task bar. And the search box on the task bar is broken too. What's goin' on here?! Microsoft Chat even dropped the ball on this case! And I installed Brave to see if another browser would do the trick, but that didn't work either.

    One possible solution is to repair your Microsoft Office installation. To do this, you can follow these steps:

    Press Windows key + I to open the Settings. Then go to Apps.

    Scroll down to select Microsoft Office 365 and click on Modify.

    Select Quick Repair and hit Repair. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

    Now restart your PC and see if you’re able to open hyperlinks in Outlook.

    Thanks, George. Good news! The most difficult problem has been corrected. After a MS update and re-start today, the hyperlinks in the Outlook emails are now opening up with a left click! But now the News & Interest read-out in the task bar is stuck on the temperature from about 10 hours ago. And the search box in the task bar is still broke. Maybe the next MS update will fix those bugs?!
