How can I select and delete multiple calendar entries in Outlook, there are have multiple reoccurring events set up in a user's calendar, and I want to remove them all for the month of December without deleting multiple series or having to individually remove over 1000 events. I tried the list view but outlook prompts sending cancellation email for all instances. The Items all heve the same subject, I want to retain items with other subjects.

The items where created by a bug/(user)error.

    Dear Jonathan WBove,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

Based on your description, you want to know how to delete multiple calendar entries in Outlook without sending cancellation emails for all instances.

To delete multiple calendar entries in Outlook without sending cancellation emails for all instances, you can use the following steps:

    1. Go to the calendar view in Outlook.
    2. Switch to the list view by clicking on the "View" tab and selecting "List" from the "Change View" section.

    1. Sort the list by subject by clicking on the "Subject" column header.

    1. Select the first item you want to delete by clicking on it.
    2. Hold down the "Shift" key and select the last item you want to delete. This will select all the items in between as well.
    3. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to delete the selected items.

This should delete all the selected items without sending cancellation emails for all instances. However, please note that this will delete all the items with the same subject, so make sure you only select the items you want to delete.

I hope the information above can be useful for you. If there is any update or I misunderstand you, please feel free to let me know. I will continue to assist you. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Dear Jonathan WBove,

    Thanks for your update.

It seems that I did not receive the "do you want to send a cancellation to your attendees" when deleting because I did not add other attendees into my test meetings. Sorry for that.

I was wondering that how many attendees have you added into the meetings which you want to delete?

If not many attendees, you may use PowerShell to remove the meetings based on the time ranges for each user. For more information, please refer to: Remove-CalendarEvents (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn.

Or you can give yourself the access/edit permission to the attendees' mailboxes and delete the meetings from their calendars: Add-MailboxPermission (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn, or login to Exchange admin portal-Mailboxes, click on your mailbox name and choose Delegation-Read and manage (Full Access)-Edit. Add the attendees into the lists. You would be able to open their mailboxes and delete the meetings from their calendars.

If the information does not help, since this scenario might need some development ways or scripts to resolve, in this situation, I suggest you submit your query on Questions - Microsoft Q&A, there are many experts on Microsoft products and also developers there. They may provide more useful information on this issue.

Thanks for your time and your understanding would be highly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

I have already tried the list view, see the issue description, it still askes the user to: "do you want to send a cancellation to your attendees" with every deletion.
    Please advise
