Why does the newest version of Outlook no longer have a business card view for contacts? That was an incredibly important feature for people working in the professional services space.

Wow. I can't believe Microsoft removed the business card functionality all together. Crazy! How are you supposed to easily share business contacts across your network? For so many years, I thought this was an area where Microsoft could provide a more robust experience and improve the efficiency of sharing and saving out contacts ... never in a million years did I think they would get rid of it! How disappointing. Someone should develop a plugin or better yet, Microsoft, bring it back!

Wish there was a function where AI could scan email signatures and offer to directly save out to Contacts. Saving out Contacts shouldn't be such a time consuming process. So unfortunate.

    or, another idea:

Add a function to hover over someone's email addresses within an email chain, and be able to save out their full contact details. For example, a person can opt to fill out their own contact details in a profile and share with anyone within Outlook on an email chain! So often there are folks on copy, who you don't know their titles, phone, etc and would be nice to be able to just save them directly to contacts from an email address.

Completely agree - doesn't seem to me like there was a lot of focus group work in this development process...

VanlandinghamR - I absolutely agree with you. This was a major advantage of the MS platform that set it apart from other email apps. Very disappointing to hear they are discontinuing it.

    Dear VanlandinghamR

Thank you for choosing the Microsoft Community.

We understand your concern about this feature of how it helps you improve your efficiency in such a busy work schedule on a daily basis, but since it's related to new outlook product design, it's suggested to send your valuable feedback directly to the Microsoft product development team by going to your dedicated app's Help > sending feedback or posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) . This is necessary because, as we are on the community team, we can only help you troubleshoot query/sharing issues (if we have any queries by design) and provide the necessary information for the availability status of the feature.

This community team and the Microsoft product development team are separate. Therefore, for feature suggestion or for design consultation, the user needs to send feedback from their side to the Microsoft product team. Once the user submits feedback through the manner mentioned above, it is sent directly to Microsoft and is forwarded to the relevant product teams who can review it. In the meantime, I will also report this to Microsoft as soon as possible.

For more details on how to send feedback, see this article Learn more about providing feedback to Microsoft - Microsoft 365 admin | Learn from Microsoft.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day

    Sincerely

    Katherine
