See most recent sent message in outlook conversations

When looking at a conversation that I just replied to, I can't see my sent message. I can see all my previously sent emails, just not the latest one. If I can't see the reply on a given conversation it makes me think I didn't reply. How can I see my sent emails to know what was replied to and what wasn't? I don't want to check "Sent Items" every time I need to see a thread that may or not have been replied to already...

    Katherine,

Thanks for the quick reply, but I've seen this answered posted before and there is no "Conversation Settings" or "Show Messages from Other Folders", so I cannot do what you've suggested. This is in the new Outlook app, and I think this functionality doesn't actually exist. I can see other replies I've sent but not the most recent one, I have to actually click into Sent Items and find the same conversation.

    Dear Kyle Pittman

    Thank you for your reply.

For this, I tested it for you on my new outlook for windows it seems that I meet the same scenario as you. So sorry to bring you inconvenience for using Microsoft product.

We understand your concern about this feature of how it helps you improve your efficiency in such a busy work schedule on a daily basis, and I believe your suggestion must help many other users in the future, So it's suggested to send your valuable feedback directly to the Microsoft product development team by going to your dedicated app's Help > sending feedback or posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) . This is necessary because, as we are on the community team, we can only help you troubleshoot query/sharing issues (if we have any queries by design) and provide the necessary information for the availability status of the feature.

This community team and the Microsoft product development team are separate. Therefore, for feature suggestion or for design consultation, the user needs to send feedback from their side to the Microsoft product team. Once the user submits feedback through the manner mentioned above, it is sent directly to Microsoft and is forwarded to the relevant product teams who can review it. In the meantime, I will also report this to Microsoft as soon as possible.

For more details on how to send feedback, see this article Learn more about providing feedback to Microsoft - Microsoft 365 admin | Learn from Microsoft.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day

    Sincerely

    Katherine

    Dear Kyle Pittman

Thank you for choosing the Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. For this, I understand how that can be frustrating. In the new Outlook for Windows, sometimes the most recent sent messages might not appear immediately in the conversation view. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Refresh the Conversation: Sometimes, simply refreshing the conversation can help. You can do this by navigating away from the conversation and then returning to it.
    2. Check Conversation Settings: Ensure that your conversation settings are configured to show sent items. You can do this by going to the View tab, selecting Show as Conversations, and then choosing Conversation Settings. Make sure that "Show Messages from Other Folders" is checked.
    3. Update Outlook: Ensure that you are using the latest version of Outlook. Sometimes, updates include fixes for issues like this.

If this cannot help, please be kindly to try the suggestions in Troubleshoot Outlook for Windows issues - Microsoft Support.

Hope this can help. If there is any update, please feel free to update me. I will continue to help you based on the information you provide. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day

    Sincerely

    Katherine
