I know this has been asked. Accessing Azure File share from Mac over SMB.

However, the website says this:
Connecting to a share using the storage account key is only appropriate for admin access. Mounting the Azure file share with the Active Directory identity of the user is preferred. Learn more

But, Mac's must use a storage account key.

So, is any word being done in regards to this? 1/2 my user base is Mac. And at times is a revolving door. So, I would have to constantly send out a new link for the Mac users.

I setup AD and using it successfully on a Windows machine, but not on a Mac.
Mac specifically says it requires the storage account key.

    Hi @Craig Reilly

Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

As you say, there is a way to Mount SMB Azure file share on macOS,

However, to Mount the Azure file share with the Active Directory identity you will require:
    * Enable AD DS authentication for your Azure file shares, and then
    * Configure your Mac to automatically mount an SMB share at Login

    Hope this helps,
