JIRA +Azure AD integration issues

Hi Team,

We are in the process of moving jira from OKTA to Azure AD for the authentication , as part of this we have removed all the okta configuration files from jira and configured Azure (installed plugin "Microsoft Azure Active directory single sign on for jira "and configured it) .The login works as expected for the internal users- directly using the jira link and from myapps .
But when we are checking the external user(clients) access login outside the network it is somehow still redirecting to ADFS for authentication. Could you please check and guide us in order to fix this issue .

FYI -This is the process we had followed for Azure setup in jira

Thanks,
Sowmya

    Hello @Sowmya ,

My bad for getting back late onto this. I was digging for offboarding process of JIRA from ADFS but did not find any documentation from Atlassian.

As a workaround kindly the following:

    In your Atlassian application:

Open the Authentication methods screen: For Jira applications, select "settings icon" > System > Authentication methods.

    Configuration.

In the Authentication method menu, select SAML single sign-on.

Look for unique name for your configuration with previous IDP.

Validate and remove old SAML SSO settings:

Single sign-on issuer: By default the issuer is https://<adfs hostname>/adfs/services/trust

Identity provider single sign-on URL: By default the url is https://<adfs hostname>/adfs/ls

    Ref URL : https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/adding-saml-integration-to-your-existing-user-management-infrastructure-861244976.html#AddingSAMLintegrationtoyourexistingusermanagementinfrastructure-MSADFS

Kindly validate the above settings and do let me know if you have any further queries in the comments section.

    Thanks,
    Akshay Kaushik
