Long running ADF pipelines will result in high cost?

Question

I have a scenario where I need to wait for 10-15 minutes while running a ADF pipeline. So I wanted to use wait activity just to wait for some time.

Using wait activity and keeping the pipeline in progress(running) state for the specified time will result in high cost for my subscription? please suggest

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. You want to know whether using the wait activity running for 15 mins in the pipeline will incur additional costs?

The short answer is - Yes, it will incur additional cost

If you look at the below example, I have 11 activity runs and 0.333 DIU hours on the Azure integration run time.

If I add an additional 'Wait activity' for an hour in my pipeline, Azure Integration DIU hours runtime will be more. Based on the time, the cost of the pipeline was calculated.

In my case, the total cost is $0.09 for my pipeline run( $0.01+$0.08)
