Error while creating the new account for the Azure Synapse - Data lake storage

Question

I am trying to practice the details mentioned on the link :
https://microsoftlearning.github.io/DP-900T00A-Azure-Data-Fundamentals/Instructions/Labs/dp900-04-synapse-lab.html

While creating the below step:
Select Data Lake Storage Gen 2: From subscription
*Account name: Create a new account with a unique name, for example “datalake".*

I get error - An error trying to validate storage account name.

Welcome to the MS Q&A platform.

Can you please go to your subscription and on the search, look for "Resource providers"

Select 'Microsoft.Storage' and on the top, click on "Register"

Once you register "Microsoft.Storage", it should resolve the storage error.
