Can't execute or debug Xamarin IOS project

Using Visual Studio on Mac

Just started getting error:

HE0004: Could not load the framework 'DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation .... (no such file)

I've tried re-installing XCode and Visual Studio. How do I fix this problem?

Xcode 14.0 is supported in the release of 17.3.6，please check the Visual Studio 2022 for Mac Release Notes and update the IDE.

I am using 17.4. Will it works if I update to XCode 14?

VS for Mac Preview is not yet updated to support Xcode 14, but you can manually install the latest Xamarin.iOS to achieve the same https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/releases/tag/xamarin-ios-16.0.0.72 Note that you should stop VS for Mac Preview from updating the bits back to 15.xxxx.

Or you can wait till Microsoft updates the Preview build in the coming days.

BTW, MAUI projects will still fail because Xcode 14 for MAUI is still being worked on.

Hello @Gerry Rempel ,

If you re-install XCode from AppStore, the latest version is Xcode14. XCode14 is not yet supported in Xamarin.iOS, it's recommended that you do not upgrade to Xcode 14 just yet and keep using Xcode 13.4.1: Open the downloads page in the Apple Developer Portal, sign in with your apple developer account, select Xcode 13.4.1, then download and install it. After that, you can open Xcode, go to Preferences > Location > Command Line Tools, then select version 13.4.1.

If you want to keep Xcode 14, you can use the build from xcode14 branch( not a stable release version). For more details, please refer to Meta Xcode 14.0 Support #15954.

I downgraded to 13.3 and it builds properly now. It looks like Apple moved some libraries that Xamamin depends on.

I downgraded by downloading 13.4.1, and changed the setting in Preferences > Location > Command Line Tools to 13.4.1 but when I run my app I am getting the below error:
