I created a team linked word and excel docs to tabs. I am able to access and edit them easily, but team mates get an error message stating the document may have been deleted or moved...but it has not. Team members can open the document directly from the channel files so permissions cannot be the issue can it?
I cannot figure out what is causing the error and cannot find an answer on this page that isnt super tech-y... is there a solution to this issue?

    Hi @Colson, Kirsten

Just to confirm, are you adding the files as a tab from the Team's Sharepoint site library?

If yes, does the issue occur on specific files or all files? Also on all users or just some of them?
Does this issue occur on other Teams/Channels?

Please have a check with Teams on the web if the issue persist.
If Teams on the web works fine, please clear the Teams cache and see if it can help with this issue.

We have the same problem. Is there already a solution available. I created a team linked Excel. Some colleagues can see it others get the message 'the document may have been deleted or moved'. I deleted already Teams cache, shared the file again and it also does not work in Teams web.

Today I have the same issue. I have created two Excel files (SFDC on Mobile and Sync OL with SFDC), stored them on my computer. Clicked on the Add to Tap (+) sign, selected Excel and searched for the saved file. All works nicely on my computer with both files, yet my team mades get the error message that the file has been deleted or moved for both files.

Then deleted the tab and created it again. Same issue

Same issue also on the web based TEAMS page.

This happened to me when trying to create the excel file tab from a file outside of the Teams channel (like your OneDrive). It should work if you:

    1. Upload the file to the Teams channel "Files" tab
    2. Click the menu button on your uploaded file
    3. Click the "Make this a tab" option.

    Example:
