Why is my Workspace to M365 migration failing mid-sync?

Hi.

I am using Microsoft's Migration tool for an Automated Migration from Google Workspace to Exchange Online.

I have taken the necessary prerequisites to do so and, when I create a Batch with a CSV file, the process seems to go through normally and even starts syncing the items. All newer emails seem to have been migrated successfully for all added email accounts (there are 12 of them).

For some reason, the mailboxes gradually, one by one, start failing after a random number of Items Synced (can very to after a few dozen to after a few thousand).

Restarting the Migration for an individual mailbox in some cases Syncs more items, in other cases it does not.

When I click on a maibox for details it presents no error as to why it failed to sync.

Since at least some items were indeed Sycned, I suspect there should be nothing wrong with the connection to Google Workspace (otherwise it would not sync at all - although I could be wrong).

I am out of ideas how to fix the issue, especially since there are no errors hinting on what the problem is.

Oh, I should mention that I also increased the max email size (for sent and received) to 150 MB.

Can anyone help me out, please? Appreciate it.

p.s. sorry, I couldn't find a relevant tag

    Hi @Ardian Dresh ,

Could you run below command to test connectivity between Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 or Office 365?

    Test-MigrationServerAvailability -Gmail -ServiceAccountKeyFileData $([System.IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("C:\\somepath\\yourkeyfile.json")) -EmailAddress admin@fabrikaminc.net

Could you post the detailed screenshot of migration batch for further troubleshooting? Please remove privacy information.

In addition, please run below command to check the detailed error message on migrated user:

    Get-MigrationUser -Identity user@contoso.com

    Hi @Ardian Dresh ,

Glad to hear that you have migrated from Google Workspace to Exchange Online successfully. I am writing a summary for this thread and you could mark this summary as best answer, hope your solution will be helpful to others who encounter the same issue. Thanks!

    [Issue]
Some mailbox items failed to sync when migrate from google workspace to exchange online when use a manual Google Workspace Migration to Microsoft 365 or Office 365 in the new EAC, and there is no detailed error message showing why the mailbox items synced failed.

    [Solution]
Change the migration method, use the migration tool to do an IMAP migration. The solution works well.
