I am replacing C8055 with C8155. Some of the problems may have to go to Xerox. One of the features I need is the Xerox Accounting.
Problem 1: When I am installing the driver and TCP/IP is select then Xerox driver or Windows changes the setting to IPP device. I am selecting Add Printer using an IP address or hardware, TCP/IP, then just go back and the setting is changed to IPP Device. IPP device driver does not install Xerox Accounting
I am using printer deployment from Windows Server 2019. I have gone through turn off the printer deployment to clear from the servers. Printer deployment does work for about 10 computers so far.
However, I have the problem that the Xerox Accounting PS driver is not deployed to one computer. At first deployments (I used PS and PLC6 drivers) was not working at all, I could not delete the Xerox Printer driver from Printers & Scanner. I did have to go to Device Manager to delete the drivers. Now PLC6 driver will deploy and PS driver drops the Xerox Accounting.
On another computer, I have a number of redirected drivers with the Xerox Accounting dropped. Printer deployment works. How would I determine where the redirection is coming from.

No progress. The link you gave is full of documents and videos but I would not know where to start. I scan through and looked in detail at the configuration document. I am not finding anything regarding where PCL6 driver works and PS driver does not.
Hello
Thank you for your question and reaching out.
If a computer / workstation is configured to print through a print server, the accounting option may be unavailable (grayed out) in the print driver on the workstation. If this is the case, XSA will need to be configured on the print server before the print driver on the workstation can be configured. A System or Network Administrator must perform this solution as it requires administrator rights to the network.
This solution assumes that the driver has already been shared from the server. "Prompt for Every Job" must be selected in the accounting setup. If an accounting code is entered at the server under Use Default Accounting Code, this code will be used by all workstations rather than the user's accounting code. Once the driver is loaded on each workstation, users may change the accounting code and enter their code in the appropriate fields.
At the server, open the Printers or Printers and Faxes window.
Right-click on the printer, and then select [Properties].
Click on the [Configuration] tab.
Click on the [Accounting] button.
Select [Xerox Standard Accounting or Auditron] from the Accounting system pull-down menu.
Click on the [Always Prompt] radio button.
Click to insert check marks in the check boxes for any required options. The available options are:
[Mask User ID ()]
[Mask Account ID ()]
[Remember Last Entered Codes]
Click on [OK].
Click on [Apply].
Click on [OK].

Response: Not exactly what I am seeing. The PS and PCL6 drivers on the server show Xerox Accounting greyed out. On computers where the Xerox Accounting also shows in grey, I can printer from those computers. It is when the setting does not exist or shows as no accounting then Xerox will show incorrect pass code.
This solution assumes that the driver has already been shared from the server. "Prompt for Every Job" must be selected in the accounting setup. Response: No exactly seeing Prompt for Every job. Print-Time Prompt: Enable is the default.

Response: What I am do is selecting server manager, Tools, Print Management. Right click the Xerox printer. Select properties, configuration. The settings are Mask User ID: Enabled, Mark Account ID: Eanbled, Print-Time Prompt”Enabled. Remember Last Entered Code: Disabled
