Got permission denied to delete Databricks related resources

Rain Shen 21 Reputation points

I was trying to delete the virtual machine, disk, IP address, and network interface etc. related to Databricks, but deletion was failed due to Code: DenyAssignmentAuthorizationFailed. I still want to keep the notebooks in the workspace so I'm not sure if I could directly delete the workspace first in order to delete the resources?

Thank you!

    Hello @Rain Shen ,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Looks like your issue is similar to the issue discussed in this post - Unable to delete resource group create by Databricks

Could you please try the steps mentioned in the above post and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help, I would recommend filing a support ticket so that engineering team can remove the databricks workspace and resource group from backend. Incase if you don't have a support plan do let us know here so that we can work with you offline to resolve this issue.

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
