all backup job fails on a mabs server with wmi query error

hi all

all local and cloud backup job fails on a mabs v3 serer with error :
dpm was unable to run a WMI query. The query returned an error or an empty result (ID 33507)

any idea about this error.

    Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

    The issue was caused by Trend Antivirus seemingly blocking the WMI filter which can be resolved by disabling the filter, this may require you to go into Safe Mode on the DPM server in order to add the required registry key.

    1. Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TmFilter\Parameters” using the Registry Editor.
    2. Add a DWORD (32 Bit) called ‘BypassDPMfilter with a value of 1.
    3. Restart the affected machine.

    after 2 months investigation by MS support, they couldn't fix the problem and propose to uninstal - install mabs, so we decline the proposal and we recovered data and switched to veeam b&r.
