Azure Communication services - How do you enable read receipts for threads with more than 20 users

Hi,
I have a problem where I would like to enable users to see which received messages were not yet seen by them (basic read functionality) but Azure communicaiton service has a limit that says that read functionality will not work in threads with more than 20 participants.

What are my options in that case where my thread has more than 20 participants? Are there any workarounds?

@Sven Šćekić (Span) Thanks for your patience on this. Could you help us with more information like what is the use case here to implement the read receipts for the chat thread which has more than 20 users.

I have a chat thread with 30 users and i want to enable read receipts. On the Azure communication services documentation page this is said:

I dont know what you mean by the "use case" i am just trying to figure out if there is some implementation for this or should i come up with my own

Well obviously the read receipts are not supported as it is shown in the picture. I was just asking if there are some other options to track read receipts from users if the service does not support it in this scenario when there are more then 20 users.

@Sven Šćekić (Span) Thanks for your patience on this. I have checked with internal product team, and they have confirmed that read receipts for more than 20 users in chat thread is not supported and is a limitation at this time.

@VenkateshDodda-MSFT I have thread with 2 users.I can receive message after subscribing real time notifications.After receiving message i trigger sendReadReceipt and i can get list of readList using listReadReceipts method.But i could not get any notification inside readReceiptReceived event. This is my code.

await chatClient.startRealtimeNotifications(); chatClient.on("readReceiptReceived", (e) => { console.log("NOTIFICATION FOR READ RECEIPT",e) })
