I have a VM that automatically shuts down every so often.
It does not have any automation configured for its shutdown.
It is a VM that I need to be always on.
The connection to that VM is by RDP, could this be the reason?

    Hi,
No. If there is some task or program running that shutdowns the VM from inside investigate inside of the VM. If the shutdown is not done from inside the VM you can investigate the Azure Activity logs for that VM to see when it is being stopped and by which user. You could have some automation configured that you are not aware of if the subscription is not used by you only.
