I am and have been having this issue for a number of months. The first time I noticed it there were only 3 users affected, I as the DA was one of them. In just a couple of months it has grown to 6 users. I have gone through all the related forum posts on this issue as well as extensive searching on the net. I have on two of the six accounts had to turn on inheritance just as several posts have recommend and it had no effect on those accounts. The other 4 accounts already had inheritance turned on. I cannot seem to get this issue resolved and the fact that more user accounts are having this error is starting to be worrisome. Does anyone have a definitive solution/answer to this issue? How does one go about figuring out what the issue is when the applied fix does not work and the accounts that already have inheritance turned on are having this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have done the same thing as this post: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/114601/azure-ad-sync-connect-issue-with-permission-error.html

Your best bet would be open a Support Case with Microsoft (https://azure.microsoft.com/support/?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5004796#support-plans) - so they can look at the logs - and do a general health check.

Make sure you are running the latest version of Azure AD Connect V2 - https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/active-directory/hybrid/whatis-azure-ad-connect-v2?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5004796 - as V1 of AAD Connect (due to SQL support) went out of support back in July.
