Teams login loop on Linux (on client and browser)

I am using Kubuntu 22.04 (just an Ubuntu with KDE) and I've came across this error and, as I easily found out, it's quite common.

I've tried it all:

Native Linux (deb package) application
Edge for Linux configured as stated in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-sign-in/sign-in-loop#resolution
Chrome for Linux configured as stated in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-sign-in/sign-in-loop#resolution
Firefox for Linux configured as stated in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-sign-in/sign-in-loop#resolution

The result is always the same: I login and after that I get into a loop.

Is there a real solution for this that I'm missing?

Are you using Teams client in Ubuntu 22.04, right?

From your description, we firstly recommend you login to Teams web client via InPrivate mode to see if this issue can be fixed.

Hi.

I am the only one using - or trying to - Teams in Linux. Everyone else uses Windows or Mac.

I am using Teams client in Kubuntu 22.04, which is basically an Ubuntu 22.04 with KDE instead of Gnome and offers more customization options.
But, in short, it's Ubuntu with KDE as the desktop graphical interface.

I have tried to login in to Teams web client in Linux via InPrivate and non-private modes in the following browsers:

Firefox

Chrome

Edge

I got the same loop in all of them, even after I configured it as stated in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-sign-in/sign-in-loop#resolution

Is there a way I can check what is going on in here? Like, providing a log, or something that will help to trace and solve this issue?

I have an update on this and I hope it helps others.

My account was set as one of the administrators, which forced me to use Authenticator to confirm my login on Teams (as in any other O365 application).
When my account was removed for the administrators and became just a simple user, the Authenticator was no longer required and I no longer had the login loop effect, allowing me to login and use Teams (and other applications) on Firefox in Linux.

My tip for this is: check if Authenticator - or other entropy 2 factor authentication - is the reason for such loop.
