Geographical Restrictions on MFA Codes?

Sean Thompson 21 Reputation points

I'm going to be traveling in the near future and I'm trying to find out if there are any kind of built-in geographic restrictions on MFA codes. I'm assuming not since I can't find anything to that effect, but I'm hoping to find a more concrete answer if anybody is aware of one.

you can block access by location using a new Conditional Access policy, however there are no built-in restrictions. Details here:

    Hope this helps,

    Hi @Sean Thompson

Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

By default, there are not any Geographical Restrictions for MFA Codes.

Usually, the Geographical Restrictions will be for:

    • SMS Codes
    • Phone call Codes

This is more related to your cellphone line than the MFA system.

As @Michael Durkan said you can create Geographical Restrictions with the Conditional Access policy.

    Hope this helps!
