I have a (Word 2008) monthly calendar that I maintain with employees listed in the content control dropdown list that is within each day/cell of the table (1 dropdown list per cell- all the same). As those employees come and go the list needs to be updated. I'm hoping there is a way to update all of the lists at once without having to update one for every day of the year. (the calendar is not designed as a form).

Word 2008 is not supported in Microsoft Q&A.
so can someone tell me how it might be done in word 2016?
I doubt Word 2008 had content controls, more likely legacy drop-downs, perhaps labeled confusingly as content controls.

Regardless, unless you want each one to reflect the same information (i.e. when a choice is made in one, it is reflected the same way for all days) this would require a macro.
Although it may be tedious, consider simply changing the first one and then copying it and pasting in the other dates.
