Hi, actually i was able to resolve this myself in meantime. What helped me was re-logging in on private window (not sure if re-logging in or private window or both are key here to resolve this).
I have admin role on workspace, so this should not be the problem here..

2022-11-11T03:53:12.81+00:00 Hi @Anonymous ,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here.
I understand the issue here is that you are not able to create dedicated SQL pool in Synapse analytics and want the workaround to be able to do it. Kindly let me know if that is not the ask here.
These could be the possible reasons for having disabled button for creation of pool :
- Not having 'Azure Contributor role' in the synapse workspace. To create SQL pools, Apache Spark pools and Integration runtimes, users need an Azure Contributor role for the workspace, at minimum. A Contributor role also allows users to manage resources, including pausing and scaling
- The feature of creating pool could also be disabled in 'Synapse live' mode if your Synapse workspace has GIT enabled. Please switch to 'GIT' mode to use the feature.
Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
