GUEST ACCOUNT LOGIN PROBLEM and CREATION OF MS TEAMS MEETING

Hi,

I would like to why are we encountering this window screen upon logging in under an organization.

Here's the screen showing upon logging in.

Also, some of the guest accounts can't create MS Teams meetings and don't have an option for New MS Teams meetings in the outlook calendar ribbon. We already tried re-logging in both MS Teams and the guest account in outlook but still, there's no access.

Another concern is that some of the guest users have an option of New MS Teams meetings in the Outlook calendar ribbon, but there's a warning and sometimes it doesn't generate a link. Here's the error encountered.

Did you do anything before the problem shown in Figure 1 occurred?

For guests in Teams, guests don't have permission to create Teams meetings. For more details about the capabilities of guest user, you can read this article.

Regarding figure 1, I don't do anything except log in to the guest account under a specific organization. Also, this concern happened only to some users, but other users don't experience this concern. There's no exit or escape button showing. We already tried opening the account in both browsers(Chrome, Edge) and MS Teams app, but the concern still occurs.

Regarding the guest account, we have a license associated with the Outlook account. As per my understanding, we must see the New MS Teams meeting option at the outlook calendar.

Hi,

I also like to raise a guest account but I can't see the file tabs within the channels. I already relog-in the account, cleared cache, and also, I tried opening the account in Chrome browser but it is properly working, but when opening in Edge, it also doesn't show the file tab.

Hi,

For issues with guest access, you can contact your administrator and select Run Tests below, which will populate guest access diagnostics in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Run Tests: Guest Access

The team meeting option is missing in Outlook, make sure that it isn’t disabled in Outlook.

In Outlook, choose File and then Options.

Select the Add-ins tab of Outlook Options dialog box.

Confirm that Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office is listed in the Active Application Add-ins list

If the Teams Meeting Add-in is listed in the Disabled Application Add-ins list, select COM Add-ins in Manage and then select Go…

Set the checkbox next to Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office.

Choose OK on all dialog boxes and restart Outlook.

According to your description, we recommend that you check the meeting policy of the Outlook add-in in the admin center. After you enable this policy, you will have to wait a few hours for it to take effect.

If you turn this off, users are unable to schedule Teams meetings when they create a new meeting in Outlook. For example, in Outlook on Windows, the New Teams Meeting option won't show up in the ribbon.

But how about the Issue of the help window upon logging in?

Also, the issue about the absence of the file tab and other tabs in all the channels and teams group?

Hi,
The above self-service diagnostic if guests are reporting issues. Run Tests: Guest Access

About the help page, I reproduced the issue. When I click on the top left corner to go back it is restored. You could try checking for this issue using the Teams web client (https://teams.microsoft.com) via the Incognito/InPrivate browsing window as well as Teams on the latest Chrome/Edge Chromium.

Does logging in to this Teams web client using the latest Chrome/Edge through the InPrivate browsing window have the same problem? （https://teams.microsoft.com）
Also, if there is an error message when running the diagnostic test, please let me know for further troubleshooting.

We are logging in to the Teams web client with the latest Chrome / Edge both private browsing and not. Also, there's no error message upon running the diagnostic test.

Isn't there anything wrong with login diagnostics too? You could try performing a clean boot to rule out if background programs are interfering with Teams.
