Hi, I have configured a Azure storage account (Standard Performane), then I created a fileshare inside with 107GB, I would like to know if there it is possible to administrate the quota in directories level, not fileshare level I know that assigning more GB on FS this will be applied to the whole fileshare . I have 3 directories right how but for administration control, I wondering assign limit to each folder.

Thanks.

    Hi @vcolmenares

Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

Unfortunately, it is not possible manage quota at Directory level, like you say it is only possible at File Share Level.

    Hope this helps!

@vcolmenares Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

As I understand you need to administrate the quota in directories level, not fileshare level ? If so, there is a windows OS level feature for that -> Under the file server role there is quota feature. This article will provide more information on Quota management : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/fsrm/quota-management

Note: This is for windows feature, not related to Azure, I have see some customer trying on Azure File share.

You need more information on this Quota management I would recommend you to contact support, so If you have a support plan, I request you file a support ticket, else please do let us know, we will try and help you with different option.

    Looking forward for your reply!
