Best way to connect to an Azure file share from IBM IIB for pushing a file to the file share. We are using File Output node in IIB currently.

Hi Team,

We are using IIB v11 deployed on Azure cloud and trying to output a file which needs to be available in on-prem server to be read by B2B jobs later. We are thinking of pushing it to a file share in Azure then doing a mount of that file share to the on-prem server.

To create the output .zip file from our IIB application (deployed in Azure cloud), we are using FileOutputNode (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/integration-bus/10.0?topic=nodes-fileoutput-node) and the file output node needs a directory path to be provided as input for pushing the file to that directory.
We wanted to check what would be the steps to connect securely with the Azure file share so that file output node can write to a directory on the Azure file share (the file will later be read by B2B jobs). Let us know if you think file share is not the best way to do this and we should use any other Azure service.

Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge about IBM IIB v11,

However, you can configure the file share to use Active Directory credentials, with this way you can use the combination user/password to login into your Azure File Share and control which user can access the Azure File Share.

If you do not require that granularity access, another way to mount the Azure File Share is use Under Email address, use the storage account name, and use a storage account key as the password. more info here
