Visual Studio 2022 run without debugging button greyed out

Question

For some reason, whenever I try and run my project in visual studio 2022, the "run without debugging" button is greyed out, I have tried to find multiple answers to this problem but it seems like an uncommon error, it is my only project in my only solution folder, so I'm not so sure what could be causing it.

In case it helps, I'm trying to run a monogame template project and I'm not signed in

Do you mean that the issue only occurs in specific project (monogame template project)?

I created a MonoGame Cross-Platform Desktop Application and couldn’t reproduce your issue.

Can you create a new project and check again? Please close all running VS instances and re-open your solution.
Meanwhile, you can try to set the project as startup project.

file -new - project - Empty - Console App " run code in a windows terminal. prints "hello world" by default.

Hi, I am having the same issue I have uninstalled it many times and reinstalled it, and the same issue. Any way to help?

I have the same issue, installing in Windows 11 64, uninstall doesn work.

I also have the same issue. I also tried to uninstall and try to do it again.. But doesn't work
