I have an hp G60 that originally came with Windows 7. A couple of years ago, I was doing the free upgrade to Windows 10 that was offered for Windows 7 users. During the middle of the download, my power went out and the computer would never start again. I asked an IT guy at my workplace if he could reinstall Windows 7 on it, as Proof of License and Product key were on a sticker on the bottom of the computer. When he gave it back to me, he said he put Linux on it instead because he felt it would be easier for me to use. I just set the computer aside and bought a new one. Now my daughter-in-law needs a laptop and I was wondering if there is any way possible to put Windows 7 back on the laptop for her. Is it possible for me to do this myself somehow? Thanks for any help given.

If the computer has a Windows 7 factory install option then you can reinstall Windows 7 and upgrade to either Windows 8 then 8.1 then 10 or directly to 10.
