272078-screenshot-2022-12-19-124108.pngHi All
I am trying to install Office 2019 but I keep getting the Error Code: 30020-1015 (0)

I have disabled defender and our antivirus to ensure nothing is blocking the install.

It can't be store either as I have over a 100GB of free space.

I have used the same installer package on Windows 10 22H2 and it works fine, the difference here is I am trying to run this on a Windows 11 build for the first time.

I have provided the XML file below, any advised or help would be appreciated.

    Issue Symptom:

    • Issue with Installing Office 2019 onto Win11 22H2, error code: 30020-1015 (0)
    • The same configuration file can be ran on Win10 and install Office 2019 successfully

    Current status:
This issue is solved via replacing the ODT and Setup.exe.

It's a relatively common issue especially when using ODT, it appears, and it doesn't matter what version of Windows you're using. Did you follow all the steps given here? As a last resort, if this is the only machine having the issue then you might consider just running the installer directly and not using ODT.

As an aside, when you use ODT you normally download the installer components first and then run the command again to actually install those components. Did it download the components or does it fail to do that?

    Hi @hpancholi ,

First, I suggest you make sure you are using the latest ODT

Whether the machine with this installation issue is a single machine or several?

    • If it is a single machine, have you installed other Office product on this one before?
If so, I suggest you unintsall previous Office completely.
    • If there are many machines can not install Office 2019, can you install Office from Internet (CDN)?
If so, you can delete SourcePath="c:\windows\it_files\microsoft office 2019 standard" from configuration file.
And run setup.exe /configure <.xml file> command to install Office directly from Internet.
At the same time, it is recommended to make sure that there are no restrictions when accessing the file folder of C drive.
Besides, update Windows system to have a check.

If nothing helps, please go to "c:\windows\it_files\microsoft office 2019 standard" folder, share us with your logs.
