Hi All

Have a windows 10 pro machine at home and using rdp to connect to a windows 10 pro at work where I have full admin rights on both and both are stand alone.

I have a network printer HP LaserJet Pro MFP M26nw installed on the home pc which does not map to the work machine. I have tried installing the drive incase this was the issue and also enabled the easy print feature with no joy. Relevant boxes are ticked on the local machine to map folders and printers.

Any clues where to look to resolve the issue.

Thanks

    Hi,

Are you using mstsc.exe for RDP connection? If so, please try to check all below boxes.

Also, please try to disable below group policy on the remote PC.

    Computer Configration\Administrative Templates\Windows Componets\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Printer Redirection
Do not allow client printer redirection

Have you used RD Gateway when remote connecting? If so, please confirm below configuration:
RD Gateway Manager - <your server name> - Connection Authorization Policies - on right sidebar, click on the policy and open the Device Redirection tab – make sure that Printer is not disabled.

    Thanks,
    Eleven

    Thanks for the reply.

We have all the check boxes ticked as per your screenshots and the policy's are set to not configured. We don't uses a gateway as it's a direct connection down a vpn.

When we test with a mac the printers map fine but when we test with multiple windows 10 machines they don't map the printers at all

    Thanks

    Hi Eleven

I have disabled the policy, rebooted and still the same. Windows machines can't map printers but mac's can

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you turn off the firewall on both sides, will the problem persist?

And if you use another client PC to remote to your work windows pc, will the problem persist?

    Thanks,
    Eleven

    Hi Eleven

No difference I am afraid. Any windows machine won't map the drives.

This was a fresh build for this purpose so should not have any corruption

    Thanks

    Glenn
