vs2022 installer broken, not working

About three weeks ago I downloaded and installed correctly VS2022 Community version. Worked great. Recently I tried to open VS2022 Community and all that happen was the splash screen showed for about a second then nothing. Program did not run. I completely deleted the version of VS2022 Community and tried to access the installer on the Microsoft VS web site. The installer code does download, size about 2 MB. But when clicking on the file to run, a window showing progress bar opens goes to 100 percent completion, then abruptly closes. VS2022 Community does not load or get downloaded as previously mentioned. Anyone else with this issue.

Just the normal Microsoft defender.
The VS2022 Community download and install worked perfectly about one month ago.
No settings or changes have been made since that time.
This all started when I tried to open VS2022 community to do some code updates to a program that I had written. When I tried to open VS2022 community all that happened was the splash screen showed then abruptly closed. Thinking that the original installation was corrupt I completely deleted VS2022 community, even used the cleanup program. Since then VS2022 installer exhibits above problems.

I did as you suggested. I ran the Troubleshooter on Windows Update. It did find one issue, which it fixed. I then restarted the computer, downloaded the VS2022 Community installer. Same problem occurs. Download works ok, but when I double click on the downloaded file, a window opens showing progress bar. Progress bar goes to completion. Window closes, nothing happens.
By the way did you have a chance to review the log file I attached previously???

I think this issue may have been solved. At least determined what is causing the issues with the VS2022 Installer not working. I have been working with Mayank Verma from Microsoft support. We had a team meeting this morning Jan. 6, 2023. We tried a bunch of diagnostic approaches with no real success.
Towards the end of our meeting, Mayank suggested to me to try to remove/delete any updates that may have been downloaded and installed. There is a curious correlation between when this issue first appeared on my Windows 11 system and the date of one of the updates. Specifically it is update
KB5020875 dated December 14, 2022. I removed this update and restarted the computer. Upon restarting I was now allowed to start the installer. I had previously downloaded it and unzipped the file into a local directory. I started the installer and now it appears to have worked. Indeed, when I checked VS2022 Community was now loaded on my Windows11 machine and it appears to be working satisfactorily.
