Excel has only three threads to enable multithreaded computing

My laptop is Huawei Matebook 14.The computer processor is i5-1240p.

When I use Excel to calculate the formula, the number of threads displayed is only 3. Then I found that in my Excel options, "Use all processors on this computer" displays only 3. As far as I know, the number of threads in my processor should be far more than 3.

For this question, I asked the support staff of Excel. After trying, he suggested that I come here for help.

I want to know why my Excel can only use 3 threads. Is it related to the processor of my computer? Is the number of threads in my Excel normal? Can I increase the number of threads?

I hope someone can answer my question. Thanks.微信图片_20230116112509

    Hi @J Working,

"Is it related to the processor of my computer? "

As far as I know it's related to the computer performance and how many threads Excel can recognize.

"Is the number of threads in my Excel normal? "

The number of calculation threads you have is normal, and the number of calculation threads that my excel can recognize in my computer is 2.

"Can I increase the number of threads?"

You can change the number of calculation threads manually:
