Can't open a file shared from Sharepoint in Excel when OneDrive sync is active

Question

I have a file that I synced in my Onedrive personnal folder that is hosted on a sharepoint.

I can open the file directly from Sharepoint in web without issue but whenever I try to open it on the desktop app (MS365 Excel), I get an error (translated from French : "We are sorry, but it is impossible to open "url address of file"")

If I exit OneDrive or stop synchronizing, the file can be opened in the desktop app.

What could be the cause of this issue ?

Hi @Laitem, Etienne ，

This issue can be caused by problems with the Office Document Cache. Please try to clear your Office Document Cache.

1. Open Windows Explorer and copy and paste one of the following locations into the address bar: Clearing Office Document Cache for Office 2016: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache Clearing Office Document Cache for Office 2013: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\15.0\OfficeFileCache
2. Delete all files beginning with ‘FSD’.
3. Close Excel and reopen from SPO.
