Anyone know why some fonts becomes distorted under 37pt and how to fix it?

When creating presentations in the PowerPoint web app certain fonts become distorted under 37 pt in present mode. It happens for Bahnschrift and our organization font roboto. Where the strokes of the letters overlap becomes cut out. For example where a "t" crosses will have a blank square in the middle.

This is occurring on both Mac and Windows computers, in many browser types. The issue doesn't happen on my desktop powerpoint app running macOS but does occur in the desktop app on windows.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Based on your description, this problem occurs in PowerPoint for Windows and PowerPoint for Web with specific fonts.

Is my understanding correct?

What version of PowerPoint did you use?

I tested in my PowerPoint 365 version number: 2301, I cannot reproduce this problem:

I suggest you install the last updates for Office and check the result.
