Automatically transfer information from one spreadsheet to another based on id number

I have 2 different sheets with cattle data. Weights, birthdate, names, etc.. One sheet contains information and the other sheet is has some information, but needs to have weights, birthdate, etc transferred from the completed spreadsheet to the incomplete sheet. I have copied and pasted, but the 2 spreadsheets don't always line up perfectly.

I would like to have the information automatically fill in. The cow all have numbers to identify them. I would like the weight of cow 2254 on spreadsheet A to fill in for cow 2254 on spreadsheet B. How can I do that?

    You should provide the sample about 2 tables.

    If your sample is simple you can use VLOOKUP function or INDEX+MATCH function directly.
