How do you open an rpmsg file

I have never seen this type of file before.

    Some folks are still using this attachment format in 2024. But the new outlook (Desktop) does not support this kind of attachment. What a complete failure.

    You can open an RPMSG file with Microsoft Outlook:

    What is RPMSG file extensions?

    RPMSG files are used to deliver e-mails with Rights-Managed Email Object Protocol enabled. This protocol controls e-mail access and usage permissions. Instead of a plain text, e-mails via RPMSG files are sent with content encrypted and stored as encrypted file attachment.

    To open the file type:

    To open RPMSG file in Microsoft Outlook you need to launch it and then select File->Open... in the main menu
