Since Jan 19th 2023 : on three separate installations of Teams client for Linux (Ubuntu 22 and Ubuntu 18 LTS) trying to add a "New Meeting" displays a blank dialog, with what appears to be a giant "X" partly visible. Followed the "rm -r ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams" fix, which temporarily restores function, but not reliably and requires repeating this frequently (log out of teams, remove config files, restart then authenticate again).
Does not occur in web teams client.
Is this a bug in a Teams update or some Ubuntu update incompatibility ? And any better solution than the above ?

What is your version of Teams for Linux in your environment? I will do a test in our client to see if this issue can be reproduced.

I sure have this same issue. Looks like the icons on the form are drawn way too big and they push the content out of the window.

I have three machines (ubuntu 18, 20 and 22 LTS)
I can't say if others have the same problem (but see other's responses below) as I'm the only person I know running Linux (everyone else Mac or Windows).
Teams : Teams Version 1.5.00.23861 (64-bit)
Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
FYI : deleting .config/Microsoft/Microsoft \teams fixes on Ubuntu 22.04.1 but the problem recurs quickly and this fix doesn't appear to work on 20.04.5.

Same "open new meeting" issue here, on Debian bullseye and Teams Preview. It seems to suffice to remove the file ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams/settings.json to restore proper behavior although the issue resurfaces after awhile.

I have the same issue on Fedora 36 / Fedora 38
I have both teams and teams insiders installed, but they are the same version and have the same behaviour.

I have the same issue on Fedora 36, 37 and 38.

Ok : so this problem still persists for ~ 2 months and no one (including Microsoft) seems to have a solution ?
I still have to delete the config files a few times / day to restore functionality.
This is across Ubuntu 18, 20 and 22.
This makes Teams borderline useless for intensive use

I have exactly the same problem on 22.04. Each time I want to create a meeting I have to use the web app Teams and not the client having the same problem already described in previous posts.
Is Linux/Ubuntu not a priority ?
We cannot create a meeting from the Microsoft Teams client!

I have the same issuse. I can't create a new meeting from desktop app.

All 3 Linux users in my company have the exact same problem. If memory serves, it started around January 2023.
I'm still on Ubuntu 21.10.
Deleting the contents of ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams works for a day or two at most before the problem happens again.
It is beyond unacceptable that it has been broken for this long with no resolution. Is anyone from Microsoft looking at this? Are there any plans to fix this?
