Please assist me with this issue,

I followed the instructions on the MS technical forum to build a Windows 10 KIOSK profile in Intune, however Autologon is not working as expected.

Someone else asked the same question here, - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/326274/intune-kiosk-digital-signage-autologon-and-kiosk-m

but there is no log here - Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\Authentication User Interface\Operational

Here are the steps that were taken,

  1. Added the PC serial number in Devices User's image
  2. Created deployment profile and assigned to specific group. User's image
  3. Created Compliance policies for KIOSK and assigned to specific group User's image
  4. Created Configuration profiles for KIOSK and assigned to specific group User's image
  5. Created Autologon for KIOSK and assigned to specific group User's image
  6. Deployed Kiosk Browser(offline) app to specific group
  7. No Profile in Security baseline

Note: 1 I was using the same testing machine for various scenarios (Single App, Multi app, Desktop wallpaper change) whenever I changed the configuration profile from single app to multi app or vice versa, I had to wipe the computer from intune ( I hit F12 during Wipe to clear the TPM.) and re-enroll the device.

Note: 2 Both the Single App and the Multi App were working earlier (with Autologon). Later, it looks that this is not working. When I wipe the machine, it acts like a non-kiosk machine.

I recently had this issue setting up Kiosk Mode for two different Microsoft Tenants/Intune Environments. Kiosk Mode worked correctly (including autologon) for one tenant but failed for the other tenant. I tested by using the same computer with Windows 21H2 19044.3693 and could not narrow it down. I compared the Kiosk Mode Configuration Settings, Baseline settings, and configuration profiles to determine the cause Cause: After several hours looking I noticed one of the configuration profiles deployed was the cause of the autologon failure. Specifically, we deployed a profile that configures a "device lock" setting to autolock the computer after 15 minutes of inactivityUser's image Excluding the device from getting this policy deployed during enrollment allowed the kiosk mode autologon to work correctly However, keep in mind if the configuration profile was already deployed to the computer, you will need to either re-enroll the device into intune or flush the policies from the computer (Apparently, excluding the device from configuration profile DOES NOT remove the policy after it has been deployed, even after syncing/rebooting the device several times) Conclusion: review your configuration policies as they maybe inadvertently blocking the autologon feature of Kiosk Mode
