Outlook emails will only download if closed and opened

I have Outlook software from Microsoft Home and Office 2021. I can only see new emails if I close the program and then reopen. I saw this discussed for earlier versions of Outlook, but not sure if any fixes discussed apply to this version.

    Hi @Jim DiNatale ,

    Are you able to see the mails when you click the ‘Send/receive’ button?

    Click on Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive and ensure to have the box reading ‘Schedule an automatic send/receive every’. Also ensure to have the time to set to ‘1’ minute.

    Outlook will not send/receive while open, must close in order for mailbox to update.
