Hi All

i have a unified group lets say ug@contoso.com and it contains 50 members. The privacy settings of the unified group is private. When i use this syntax i can see only 50 members

Get-UnifiedGroupLinks -Identity "ug@contoso.com" -LinkType Members.

In azure AD also i see 50 members.

In outlook when i put the email address of the unified group i see the message ug1@contoso.com contains about 50 recipients. but in OWA when i put the email address of the unified group i see This message will be sent about 100 recipients.

Please guide me not sure why i am seeing difference. i have checked with one of my other user he also sees the same.

The discrepancy between the number of members displayed in Outlook and OWA could be due to different ways of counting the members in the group. It is possible that Outlook is counting only the direct members of the group, while OWA is counting both the direct members and the indirect members (such as members of nested groups).

Another possible explanation is that there are guest users or members from external domains who are part of the group. These users may not be displayed in Outlook, but are included in the count in OWA.

It is also possible that there is a bug in either Outlook or OWA that is causing this discrepancy. I recommend checking with Microsoft support for more information and to see if there is a solution or workaround available.

    Hi @Roger Roger

Are there other large unified groups in your organization?

Can you try sending a message to a different group to see if the issue persists?

If no, as a workaround, I recommend you could create a new unified group for these users.
