First and foremost, check OWA - if everything is working OK with the mailbox there you can focus on Outlook. Create a new Outlook profile and configure the mailbox there, in case it fails the autodiscover process run the test from within Outlook or by using the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer tool and post the results here.
Outlook User Cannot be added after tenant transfer
Hi,
We have transferred a domain from our client's tenant onto it's own new tenant, along with this there were a number of email account migrations that needed to be completed, 17 out of the 20 email accounts migrated fine but 3 of them are now not able to log into outlook, we have tried cleaning the registry of all the account details, changing the account email address and repairing office 365, is there anything else we can try to resolve this issue?
Many Thanks,
Paul

2024-05-20T12:41:38.41+00:00 There are entries, likely in the registry referring, to the old account. I solved the issue by recreating the Users profile folder:
- Log in with a different admin account.
- Browse to the Users folder and rename the account (ex: user > userOLD).
- Log back into the affected account. Unfortunately, you will be logged in with a temporary profile.
- Log back in with the other admin account and follow these REGEDIT instructions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/116927/outlook-user-cannot-be-added-after-tenant-transfer
- Log back into the affected account. Now you can copy the data from the old profile to the new and configure Outlook. If someone has a less invasive solution, please let me know.
