Code Map layout changes each time a node is added. How to avoid this?

I create a code map in Visual Studio. It becomes rather complex so I manually rearrange nodes in a way that suits me. But each time I add a new node the whole layout changes completely creating a mess. I tried to uncheck "Automatic layout" and "Incremental layout" options but it doesn't help. This way working with code map feature becomes a constant struggle with a layout. Is there a way to pin or freeze certain elements so that they are not rearranged when new nodes are added?

    Hello @Artem Kliatchkine ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

After some tests, I don’t find any settings which may meet your requirements. The layout may be changed in some specific situations. The "Automatic layout" and the "Incremental layout" options are the closest options.

Could you share us a sample(or some detailed steps) to reproduce your issue and check further to see if there’s any workaround?

Besides, I recommend also submitting a suggestion ticket on our Developer Community.

    Feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards,

    Tianyu
