No sign in possible from Visual Studio CODE

Question

If I attempt to sign, VS code opens browser. It says "you have signed in, you may close this window" And then still not signed in in VS Code. nothing come up in Vs code window.

I tried re-installing and disabling firewall but still not working.

Thank you for taking time to post this issue in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Did you follow this guide: Turning on Settings Sync to sign in VS Code(Accounts => Turn on Settings Sync => Sign in with GitHub/Sign in with Microsoft)? Please try following suggestions if you have followed the guide but still doesn’t work.

1. Please try to reboot your machine and sign in again.
2. If possible, please try to clean the web browser’s cache and test again.
3. Try to change and set to use another web browser as the default web browser and sign in again.

If you still can’t sign in Visual Studio Code, please kindly post this issue on Stack Overflow - Visual Studio Code or GitHub - Visual Studio Code for further help(Technical Support).
