Hello team,
I generated a SAS and a connection string for a file in Azure Storage. How do I connect from Azure Storage Explorer? All options to connect say they don't support that kind of resource.

Thanks a lot

@Anonymous Welcome to Microsoft Q&A, thank you for posting your here!!

If you have generated the SAS on the file on ADLS gen2 storage account, you can connect to the same file from Storage Explorer.

    Hello @Ramya Harinarthini_MSFT ,

    Thanks for your response.
When I tried it, I receive the next error in Azure Storage Explorer.
The SAS cannot be used to connect to a blob container or directory. A service SAS with a container or directory resource ('sr=c' or 'sr=d') parameter is required. Connecting to other resource types is not supported
    Many Thanks

Hi Merabet Ponton, E, i too faced the same issue for my external users access. Try to create SAS url from azure storage explorer. Similar like reverse engineering techniques. Step 1: Sign in Azure explorer from your organisation sso. And select the storage account select the directory needs to share. Step 2: Select that directory and create SAS url from storage explorer MAKE SURE copy the URL. Step 3: Logout from storage explorer and select the resources from there select "ADLS GEN2 Container or directory" option and select the SAS authentication method and paste the Url. BINGO.!! Now you can able to see the particular dir. I hope this method will help you.
