We are setting up of Onpremise VMware VM's to Azure DR using ASR, facing challenges in AZURE PRIVATE DNS kindly help us to solve.

Hi

I am errro1.PNG facing challenges for setting up of my customer on-premise VM's to AZURE DR environment using ASR tool.

Please help me to solve the issue.

1> OVF deployed, while registering the servers with ASR vault, many errors occurs, one is private DNS zone related and other is internal error it will come. private dns error1.PNG

2> In OVF it do not have any mySQL setup shows. i.e., OVF do not included 3'rd parity software Install option. SQL software install -not available.PNG

3> Also I can't find the mobility agent passphrase key to generate the file, there is no path and file found :- %ProgramData%\ASR\home\svsystems\pushinstallsvc\repository

Refer the attached files.

Using Latest OVF from recovery service vault.

Please help me to solve this issue asap.

    It looks like your server does not fulfill the prerequisites.

    Please validate the pre-requisites over all the Allow URLs https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/deploy-vmware-azure-replication-appliance-modernized#allow-urls

    @Shantanand M Umachagi Did you find a solution to this issue? This is a DNS issue .Your on prem cannot resolve to private dns zones in azure.That's why you're getting the cannot contact "privatelink.siterecovery.XXX.You need something like Azure DNS Private Resolver and create conditional forwarders on your on prem DNS server to forward to the inbound of the Azure DNS Private Resolver.
