i can no longer remove hidden rows and columns when using the function in the "inspect document" ... the row/columns are removed, but so is all the data in the sheet.

The message in the dialogue box states - This fix did not complete successfully.

I have repaired Excel, uninstalled, and reinstalled - with the same issue.

    Hi @Jim Tufts,

Did this problem appear in all Excel Workbooks or specific Workbooks?

What version of Excel did you use? Please provide the detail version number of Office here, go to File- Account:

You can also check if the Workbook is protected.

Please be a bit more precise to explain your problem or you can upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.

    Version 2301 (Build 16026.20146 Click-to-run).

I open a book that includes a list of data (part of a table). I sort the data I want to see, and I create a copy of a page into a new book. The new page in the new book has hidden columns and rows. Using the inspect workbook feature, I choose to remove the hidden rows and columns.

When I do this, it does remove the hidden columns and rows but also deletes all of the data in the new sheet. THe new saved sheet is no blank - but the hidden rows/columns are gone.
