How to resolve "no previewer available" for html mail attachments?

As I want to read my Rss feeds inside outlook desktop (version2301) I receive a contradictory message saying that I have no html previewer installed while I can see that two are installed - see pictures attached below.

Similar problems has been described here couple of years ago here and here.

No matter what I tried I cannot preview htm nor html files in outlook preview. Any suggestion?

Does this issue occur recently? If so, have you done any specific operations before that?
And does this issue occur when you preview all HTML attachments or the specific HTML attachment?

Based on my test on Outlook 365 (version is as shown in the below image), I can preview HTML attachments successfully.

In order to further confirm if the issue is related to the specific HTML attachment, please try to preview other HTML attachments to check if there're any differences.

If the issue still exists, in order to avoid the interference of Outlook add-ins and other programs, it's suggested to close other programs temporarily and restart your Outlook in safe mode to check if the issue has any differences(Windows + R> type "outlook.exe /safe">enter).

Unfortunately, I still can't preview html files.

I tried to open other files from other sources. I tried it also in safe mode. I did not change any parameter recently.

I've started to use outlook recently. I tried to open different html files from various sources. I also tried in safe mode.

Here is the screenshot from my attempt to open another html file (a list of bookmarks) from safemode. "Product sin licencia" means "product without licence" as expected from a safemode start.

Complete version name I am using Outlook para Microsoft 365 MSO (versión 2302 compilación 16.0.16130.20122) de 64 bits.

Can you preview the HTML files on web mail?
On the other hand, what about changing to another computer and adding your account in Outlook client to try to preview HTML files?

Unfortunately neither outlook web mail nor Outlook PWA enable the inside-outlook preview feature that the desktop version does. The message preview feature on Outlook webmail does apply for the text of the message only, not for the attached files. See the two pictures below :

What I can do is download the html file, which I could already do on the Outlook desktop version. This miss the point of being able to quickly read my rss feeds within outlook - that is without having to switch to other apps, windows, and without having to add more clicks to get what I want.

True that is not so slow to download html articles everytime I need it, but that makes me more incline to switch to other rss service providers outside outlook. What I am enjoying in Outlook is being able to centralize my information flow, right?

Anyhow, the html previewer still doesn't work.

Currently I do not have other computer available.

Considering that you cannot preview HTML files on the Outlook desktop client and web mailbox, in order to further confirm if the issue is related to the HTML files themselves, please try to configure your account in other mail client, such as Mail, to check if you can preview them successfully.

Hi @ChristyZhang-MSFT and thanks for the recommendation,

I made two tests on Mail for windows 10, on the same computer. Version 16005.14326.21344.0.

I tried to preview an html file, but just like the webmail service, there is no such feature. I can just open or save the file. See picture. PS: The file can be opened and displayed correctly on Edge browser.

I tried to view my Rss feeds from my Rss folder. Here there is a new problem (that did not exist in Outlook), is that none of the content of my feeds are displayed. I tried to refresh the whole folder and the rss source one by one but nothing appears - neither old feed nor new feeds. My Rss sources are quite standard, from European newspaper websites. I do not have problem receiving and reading those feed in other rss reader app (like feedly, innoreader, etc).

Considering the impact of your RSS Feeds, please save a HTML file of the browser and try to preview it in Outlook to check if there're any difference.
