Delete user cannot be added again

We deleted a guest in the Teams admin center, and now we can't add him back to the team.

Hi,

Does your organization have a limitation in Azure AD that only specific users/admins can invite guests?

Please refer to Guest invite settings part : External collaboration settings

(The default setting is Anyone in the organization can invite guest users including guests and non-admins)

If you resend the user a guest invitation email via Azure AD with an account which has the guest invite permission, let him accept the invitation, would you be able to add him as a member to the team later?

Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delayed response!

From your issue, I understand that you deleted a Guest user within your Teams Admin Center and not can't add that user back to your Team. If you are a Global Administrator or User Administrator, you'll have to first restore the deleted user and then retry adding the user back to your Team.

Restore a user in the Microsoft 365 admin center

1. Go to the admin center.
2. Expand Users, and then click Deleted users.
3. Select the user that you want to restore, and then click Restore user.
