Distribute office templates via sharepoint

I try to distribute new templates by adding them to a sharepoint site folder share and setting Office policy for template path. I tried workgroup, personal and enterprise template path but neither works. Use can access the path by navigating in browser. But when clicking New document in Office, templates will not appear to select. I can't find proper overall instructions how to really do this. Any hints?

    How did you set the path? If syncing SharePoint to local OneDrive and setting the path as office template path in group policy, would this help?

    I solved with this. The trick is, that sharepoint site must be done in correct way:
