Converting Public folders to Shared mailbox

First time poster so please be nice :)

I'm currently looking at moving away from public folders to shared mailboxes my main issue is within the public folder I have multiple sub folders all receiving mail from different places.

I know all the addresses so it's not a huge deal, but I want to create sub folders within a shared mailbox and then create a rule to move each email into each sub folder the email addresses won't change or have any need to change.

If this isn't possible what is MS best practice or recommendation for this so I can investigate further?

resolved the issue via creating shared mailbox then setting up subfolders delegating access to a group and setting up server side rules via owa to move mail to specific folders tested confirmed working
