We have 3 2012 R2 servers which act as (high-availability) brokers, session hosts, and RDWeb. I am not an expert in RDS setup so need the assistance to migrate these all services on Windows server 2022 with same high availability setup.

Can anyone please guide how can I plan to migrate the RDS services without any downtime.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query

You will have to update it fist to Windows Server 2016 or 2019 since the 2019 Windows server is not supported from the 2012 R2. For more information, you can check https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/migrate-rds-role-services

Thank you for your response. So, if I understand correctly, there is no direct upgrade path from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Windows Server 2019 or 2022. The only way to upgrade would be to first update to Windows Server 2016, then to 2019, and finally to 2022.
