I need your help.

Create a storage account
In this task, we will create a new storage account.

1.Sign in to the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com

2. Select Create a resource.

3. Under Categories, select Storage.

4. Under Storage Account, select Create.

5. On the "Basics tab of the Create storage account blade ", fill in the following information.
   Leave the defaults for everything else.

I see. So in step 5 of the "Create a storage blob" exercise, you need to create a new container within your storage account. Here are the steps you can follow to create a new container:

In the Azure portal, navigate to your storage account.

In the left-hand menu, click on "Blob service" and then select "Containers".

Click on the "+ Container" button at the top of the page.

In the "New container" pane that appears, enter a name for your container (e.g. "mycontainer").

Choose the "Private" access level for the container.

Click the "Create" button to create the container.

Please go to the exercise page, Activate sandbox, review permissions and click accept if prompted. Next open a new tab with the Azure portal (after Sandbox is finished activating) using link below:

https://portal.azure.com/learn.docs.microsoft.com

Please follow screenshots below to arrive at the Basics tab of the Create storage account blade:

After doing all the above process i am getting error that as a learn account i do not have permission to create new resource.

What should i do?

@Heet Vekariya Did you select the sandbox resource group? It would be something similar to learn-631420e0-17de-4fcd-2f24-c3e31a52718c

I just tested and I was able to create a new storage account in the sandbox subscription without issue by following the exercise instructions.

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A! I’m happy to help with your query.

When you’ve opened the Azure Portal through Microsoft Learn, after activating the sandbox and logging in with the same account as used on Microsoft Learn, you should be able to create the storage account using step 2 to 4.

The first page you’ll see after executing these steps is the “Basic” tab. It’s the first thing you see while creating a Storage Account (or actually: any Azure resource).

It would be helpful for others as well, if this gets incorporated in the learning portal too. As when see its a link to do the exercise we tend to go to the link prior to activating the sandbox and that's when we face the issue as mentioned by Sai can occur(that happened with me).
